| Description of JukeNuX
JukeNuX is a minimalist LiNuX distribution for a minimalist PC
to change it to a CD/MP3/OGG/AC3/DVD/WAV/AU/MIDI/MOD/SID/etc capable
player, to a real Juke-box...
It stand of a Linux kernel (2.6.0-preXXX that time), with ALSA and
BusyBox, AlsaPlayer, a menu framework, some other util software...
Tha main aim to create a "desktop" CD/etc player from
an old PI/PII.
You need:
- a main board (PI/PII)
- a CPU (PI or PII Celeron) WITHOUT active (FANless)
cooling
- a power supply WITHOUT a cooler (cut wire!)
- 64M or 128M or more RAM
- CD/DVD drive (1 or more)
- a sound card
- some speaker (2 to 6 ;-)
- a keyboard
You may want:
- radio card
- USB card reader (Flash, Smart, Multimedia, Secure, etc)
- CD/DVD (re)writer
- network card or a serial line for remote management
- a floppy??
AND YES, of course
